Vehicles in German City Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police Confirm

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Police reported they were alerted by a individual who noticed a car in Hanau marked with red-colored substance

Approximately 50 automobiles have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Automobiles, exterior walls and mailboxes were vandalized, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Officers say they were notified during the night on Wednesday, when a man observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued liquid.

The substance had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Officers then discovered multiple other marked automobiles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are banned in Germany under laws banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Officials state early analysis show the substance was most likely blood from a person.

"There is still no lead as to its origin; authorities are presently not aware of any harm in association with the occurrence," they added.

City officials said they were attempting "to unravel the mystery" and have asked to the community for tips.

An important official said the incident rendered him stunned and had to be addressed promptly.

"This act affects the core of Hanau and revives the pain of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he posted on a platform, recalling the murder of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on people of foreign heritage in 2020.
